Have you visited the Couture Doll Shop shopping mall? It is a collection of doll related 'store fronts', all in one place separated by 'streets'. Click on a store front and you are linked to the website of the store front owner.

Sweet Creations has been a CDS member from the onset, and I was recently interviewed for the current blog post. Click here to read the interview

This photo of Tonner Tyler Wentworth is one I submitted with the interview responses...

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Good morning world, it's a beautiful day!

Here are recent summer outfits made to fit Fairyland Little Fee/Volks Yo-SD size girls....

Both customer requests, the blue and white outfit mimics one created in Annabella size, the pink set made from fabric choices by the customer.

For those interested, you can see a gallery of my past work in my PhotoBucket albums HERE Click on the album of your choice at the lower right of the page.

If you would like to commission an outfit, choose the style and Fabrics and send me an email. I create 99% of my patterns and can resize outfits to fit dolls other than those modeling :o) For instance, here is the original Annabella capri ensemble that the above outfit was based on...

Thanks for peeking in, have a great day!!

It's a beautiful day, sun shining, mild temps and a very slight breeze....now if we could just get a bit of rain!

I have just put a commission into the mail for a corset & skirt set to fit Ellowyne. The base color is a blue-ish lavender, and the floral design is muted shade of purple with a tiny bit of white, so I have always had some trouble getting a good color match for accessories. The ribbon in the corset looks so out of place, but it looked better in person :o)

I hope you are all enjoying a good day!

Quick pictures of the completed 'September' outfit that is now off to the client. She will be dressing a Wilde Imagination Amber doll in the outfit and gifting it to her friend later this month. The jacket is forest green corduroy lined in a near matching green posh lining, which was also used for the cuff and pocket accents.

Now you may think, 'what is she thinking by putting green with the orange?'. It represents the photo on the book cover, and the jacket being green has special significance :o)

Here is the jacket, both with and without the belt tie. The dress is in the post below...

Have a great day!

Not long after my last post, my little (ok, younger) brother had a heart attack, which started things off-track and all out of sorts for me. He had an ICD implanted and is getting along well. Then my mother was ill, got better (we thought), then finally ended up having emergency surgery only to find cancer. She spent several weeks in the hospital and in a nursing home, contracted MRSA and returned to hospital and is now recovering in a long-term care facility where she has been for several weeks. One son-in-law has some serious medical issues, my darling hubby just had and MRI and I am scheduled for an echo-cardiogram next week.

I am hopeful that everything will work out and all will be back on track soon. :o) Meanwhile, all of this affects my 'work' as I am the biggest worry-wart on earth and my concentration on my sewing has suffered. I am behind and desperately trying to get caught up so I can create something new!

I am grateful to my loyal clients, especially for having much patience with the time it is taking me to fill their orders, bless you all!

I am working on familiar outfits, though I did make the little denim jumper in red, with an added hat, for one client. My Kaye Wiggs Millie models for you...

I am currently working on a project to create an outfit to match that worn by the character named September in the book titled "The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making" by Catherynne M. Valente. You can visit Catherynne's website and read about the book here.

The dress is done, and I hope to complete the jacket this morning before my darling grandchildren arrive. Ellowyne Wilde models for us...

I also created another special request for a book character. This one represents Lucinda Price from the "Fallen" book series by Lauren Kate and replicates the cover of the 'Torment' book in the series.

You can see all 6 photos of this outfit, including the customer photos of her Kaye Wiggs Miki modeling on my Facebook FanPage here . My Kaye Wiggs Annabella is modeling below in the red wig.

There you have the last few months in a nutshell :o) I hope everyone is having or will have a wonderful weekend, with pleasant weather!
